The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea

Hotel Wailea Maui Hawaii

The food is second to none here at The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea. The award-winning restaurant will take you on a gastronomic journey that is full of spectacular surprises.

Creative dishes made with carefully selected local, seasonal ingredients and inspired by European cuisines form the heart of the menu, which changes based on what’s readily available from the island’s own farms and fisherman. Start your meal with kampachi crudo (USD$30) to stimulate your appetite. Then, indulge yourself in the signature heartwarming truffle risotto (USD$21) and wonderfully fresh and aromatic nori-spiced ahi (USD$54). Lastly, end the night on a sweet note with the chocolate napoleon (USD$16).

  6. You know that hotels with swimming pools are killing me and this is exactly what this hotel is doing. I would love to see it when I go to Maui and go on a sailing boat.

  7. What a beautiful property! I’m at a stage in life where I do travel with my kids, but I’m picturing a future where this place could totally pamper me! Loving the outrigger canoe experience too!

    • A place to keep in mind if you ever travel without kids or go with them when they grow up! That canoe experience is a fun activity to learn about Hawai`i history!

  8. Wow envy!! Really want to go to Maui someday.

    -M.

  9. This hotel looks GORGEOUS! So romantic – love the decor, and the lush jungle setting. I also love that they have complimentary yoga classes – this seems like the perfect place to connect with yourself and nature. Would love to spend a week here.

  10. This looks like an absolute dream – even the gym!

  11. Wow, that is indeed the height of luxury in Maui! We should have stayed there!

  12. It looks great. It makes you want to leave your kids at home and go relax a bit! 🙂 Beautiful scenery, love those views!

  13. Looks like a beautiful property! I’ve only been to Maui once when I was very young, but I’d love to go back.

  14. What a gorgeous and luxuries hotel! The food looks great an dI really like those masie one person rattan chairs!

  15. I’ve never heard of an adults only honeymoon! This sounds truly romantic. What an amazing natural setting. And the food sounds great–I really like the sound of that chocolate napoleon. A perfect natural getaway!

  16. What a beautiful Hotel, I bet being there was so relaxing their room was look amazing plus the pool and the beach look enjoying. Looks like a great place to get pampered and revel in luxury. The fact that there are no children around ensures serenity.

  17. Holy gorgeousness! I’m in love with Hawai’i, but I haven’t made it to Maui yet. When I do, though, I want to stay here! That first shot down over that patio seating… WOW! I also love that it’s adults only. I don’t not like kids, but there’s a time and a place sometimes.

  18. What a relaxing oasis. You have a real back for finding the spots to kick back and enjoy yourself. This looks like a great adult adventure!

  19. Yep, a real paradise for honeymooners and people seeking some relaxation and privacy. It;s the first time I have actually heard about a adulty only hotel and I’m sure this will definitely be beneficial to many. In love with the property overall, children or not, it will definitely be a memorable stay.

    • It was my first time staying at an adult only hotel too! The property is so beautiful and the friendly staff really made an effort to make our stay memorable!

  20. What!! I wanna go just for the comp aerial yoga classes! I like your cardio style- no shoes, haha! The food at Hotel Wailea looks so yummy, it’s almost too pretty to eat. We stayed at an adults-only resort in Greece and I gotta give whoever came up with the adults-only idea mad props. I love kids but not when I’m trying to relax and have a good time! Trying to savor the no-kids life while it lasts 😛

    • From now on, I can only stay at an adult-only hotel 😛 Not that I’m anti-kids, but sometimes you just want to have a good time without all the disturbance!

  21. So luxurious!! I want to go to an adult-only hotel one day, it sounds so exclusive haha!! This hotel looks perfect!

  22. Complimentary fitness classes sound great. Not many hotels provide that facility at least in Asia. I think it is a great idea to holiday in a adult only hotel. Kids are great company but sometimes you just want a quick romantic get-away.

  23. Oh damn, it is really a paradise, without kids screaming 😀 in Hawai, at the beach, with swimming pool, vegetation around and awesome food with your partner, what we can ask more??? Perfect place!!

    • SO TRUE! There are many times where my vacation time got ruined because someone was screaming and stomping next door. This hotel is the best for adults who want to have some quality vacation time!

  24. When I’m lucky enough to have a partner, this would be the perfect place to take her in Hawaii. The Hotel Wailea and it’s adult only policy makes for a romantic getaway!

  25. Is that you in seat 1 Cat? You know Jenn and I raced outrigger for several season. Jenn was our race steersman (seat 6) and I was usually seat 3 or 4. Our first trip to Catalina Island we paddled there – all 26 miles. Why not paddle when you’re on the islands. This looks like a fabulous property.

    • Yes, that’s me! I have no idea why I was put on the front seat (maybe because I was a little late :P). I didn’t know that you did outrigger racing! We should set one up when I visit!

  26. Oh my gosh! This hotel looks absolutely beautiful! Seriously the suite is bigger than my house! I would love to visit Hawaii and stay here!

  27. What an amazing hotel! I feel like we should splurge next time we’re in Maui and spend a couple of nights here. There pampering alone would be worth it.

  28. This hotel is gorgeous! I had no expectations for it to look the way it did, and it’s so beautifully decorated! The suites are also very large, and the food looks delicious! I may have to book an adults only hotel in the future for my boyfriend and I!

  29. I do love children, but when I want to really relax I would love to find some real quiet…this place looks (and sounds) like the perfect hotel to do so! Adding it to my list of hotels to try 🙂

  30. Wow this is one gorgeous and luxurious hotel! I’ve never been to Hawaii before and heard that it’s very expensive. This hotel is for sure expensive, but i guess it’s all worth it?

  31. Oh wow. This hotel looks fantastic. The idea of a child-free hotel is a great one. I’m not anti-children but I’m sure we have all been to hotels where the swimming pool is just one big ball of shrieking haha. Your photographs are beautiful, too.

    • I have seen that in other hotels in Maui. It is a nightmare and seriously, I really can’t stand the shrieking and splashing in the pool. If you want privacy and tranquility, an adult-only hotel is the way to go!

  32. Now this really does look like the ideal spot to spend a honeymoon or anniversary! Certainly, the views are spectacular while the food has me salivating from here! Good to see that they managed to marry the local aesthetic with modern efficiency. Great post and some fabulous photos

    • Thank you, Gareth! I still could not forget the delicious food there! The seafood was so fresh. All the dishes are mouthwatering and beautifully presented!

  33. Love the ambiance of the place. So green and surrounded by nature. Loved the sunset shot….the view can’t get any better.

  34. Adult only resorts let us truly relax … peace! This place looks lovely and we will check it out when we got to Hawaii! The dessert looks delicious!

  35. The place looks luxurious. Though I am completely sold on the idea of Adults only resorts as I don’t like screaming kids but my husband is very fond of kids. Will make a note of the resort for sure.

  36. I can easily see here why hotel Wailea is amongst the most romantic getaways in the world. The layout and the feel of the place is phenomenal. Luxury for sure, but somehow still remaining down to earth in typical tropical style. And those culinary creations! What!

  37. Such a lovely hotel and I always prefer couples’ hotels over family hotel, without the running or crying kids when all I need is just a peaceful holiday.

  38. So, I’ve never been to an adults only hotel but this looks amazing! I don’t have children and they don’t necessarily annoy me but I could definitely enjoy an adult only location. Do you know if they cater to vegans at all? If so, I’d definitely put this on my list whenever I make it Maui.

    • There are so dishes that are vegan-friendly. I’m sure the chef would be happy to accommodate any request. The best thing to do would be to make sure they are aware of your dietary restriction when you make a reservation 🙂

  39. This place looks so luxurious! Definitely a great place to stay. The food looks delicious as well!

  40. Wailea in Maui is one of most favourite destinations. It truly is the one the best places to escape for your honeymoon. I went to Wailea for mine and fell in love with this island. Hotel Wailea seems so serene. The island beach safari sounds like a unique activity that you should experience.

  41. This looks like such a dream hotel. The suites look gorgeous, but lots of hotels can offer that. I think what stands out for me are your photos and descriptions of the grounds and the activities, the entire hotel looks really beautiful and very relaxing.

  42. I absolutely love the idea of a adults-only hotel! The pictures are great and the experiences seems absolutely worthwhile 🙂

Complimentary Wi-Fi and cable TV are great add-ons as well!
