Oh, Paris. You have spoiled me with so many wonderful meals. Out of all the delicious options, the afternoon tea at The Peninsula Paris reminds right at the top of my list. With a wide assortment of sweets and treats, it satisfied our sweet tooth and pampered our body and the soul. If you have a weakness for afternoon tea, you will want to try the delectable bites at The Peninsula Paris. It is a real treat that truly can’t be missed!
Elegant Setting of Le Lobby
After a visit to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées, a leisure stroll along the quiet Avenue Kléber took us to The Peninsula Paris. Housed in a 19th-century Haussmann building, this majestic hotel gave us a real taste of luxury hospitality.
A sophisticated and elegant ambiance welcomed us as we entered into Le Lobby. Swathed in gold details, the space exuded historical charm and invited us to enjoy tea in its most elegant form.
Sipping on Champagne while enjoying soothing live jazz, we felt like royalty. Our server even whipped up some refreshing iced tea to cool us down on such a sweltering summer day!

The Legendary Afternoon Tea at The Peninsula Paris
Soon enough, two (not one!) elegant silver stands were brought over to us, on which rested an array of mouthwatering delicacies.
The bottom tier presented irresistible finger sandwiches, including:
- sesame bun with Scottish smoked salmon, rocket salad, and ricotta cheese
- smoked beef wrap with baby gem lettuce and Meaux mustard
- cucumber sandwich with dill and Greek yogurt spread
Amongst the savory snacks, the smoked beef wrap was my favourite. Each bite was rich, creamy, and packed with flavour, without being overwhelming.

Moved up a tier, the classic English scones awaited us. The light and buttery baked goods tasted delightful with the simple cream, and even more amazing with orange marmalade!
The best is always saved for last. The top tier of our tea tray featured decadent desserts that wowed our tastebuds. We made our way through: a humble yet delicious candied orange-scented madeleine, strawberry, rhubarb and basil tart, lemon meringue pie, chocolate éclair, and tiramisu in a shell. To say they were “delicious” would be an understatement. You have to try these sinfully luscious sweets yourself to understand why the afternoon tea at The Peninsula is world-famous.
Our afternoon tea experience at The Peninsula Paris was absolutely exquisite! With outstanding food and impeccable service, it’s a uniquely pleasurable way to spend an afternoon in the city of love. If you’re in Paris, do yourself a favour and to treat yourself to afternoon tea at The Peninsula Paris!

Those cucumber sandwiches look amazing! Oh, and everything else too! 🙂
Sounds like the highly acclaimed Ritz-Carlton afternoon tea in London!
A good afternoon tea is one of my favorite things to do! This one looks exceptional. That is a snazzy looking glass of tea! I would go for the sandwiches first (what was the white iced one?) and then the plain cookies. You did well!
Oh this has my name written all over it! I absolutely love afternoon tea, and try to go as much as I can when in London! Never tried it in Paris so thanks for sharing 🙂

High tea in Paris seems like going to London for baguettes. Actually, those pastries look on point and French pastries is definitely a thing. Eating in Paris is a must do city adventure.
All the little bites look so yummy! I’ve tried the afternoon tea at the Peninsula Hong Kong and it was memorable. I’ll have experience it at the Paris location one day
