I knew this place several years ago when I was living in Vancouver. It was already popular back then. Cheesecake is my favorite dessert so it was difficult for me not to notice this place.
The store is very big, but usually very busy that there is a lineup. Only opens in the evening. It is dimly lit which provides a romantic atmosphere.
There are many different types of cheesecake. Some people love the kind that has creamy, heavy taste with a dense consistency. I love the type of cheesecake that has a light flavor, not too sweet and has very fine consistency. That is exactly what you can find at Cheesecake Etc. Their original cheesecake has a light, airy texture similar to mousse. It is very smooth and fine. I really like it.
The cheesecake is the only thing I like over there though. Their Mumbai Fog (chai tea and milk) was very ordinary- I can make the same thing myself. The service was slow and poor. I guess they were just too busy. The drinks and desserts came very slow.
My review: It is like ferrero rocher. A perfect place for dates where you get delicious desserts and infrequent interruptions from the staff.
